Gail Sackloff OBE

Gail Josephine Sackloff OBE, born in December 1944 in Dublin, Ireland, passed away on 2 January 2025, leaving behind a remarkable legacy in the fashion industry.

From her early days working in her parents’ coat and suit manufacturing business in Dublin, which was established by our grandfather, Gail developed a profound appreciation for craftsmanship and design.

In 1970, she moved to London, where she became a pivotal advocate for British fashion on the international stage. Her contributions were recognised with the Order of the British Empire (OBE), honouring her dedication and influence. Gail’s passing is mourned by family, friends, and colleagues who remember her for her professional achievements, warmth, mentorship, and the indelible mark she left on the fashion world.
